3.10 Dictations

Can you recognize by ear the 6/4's on the previous pages?

  1. DOWNLOAD a blank answer sheet (pdf).
  2. CHOOSE the playback instruments below and CLICK one of the numbers. You will hear an audio file whose number corresponds to a problem on the answer sheet.
  3. LISTEN for the soprano and bass and write them on the staffs.
  4. WRITE the inner voices with proper voice leading.
  5. NAME the kind of 6/4 expansion which you hear in the phrase and write it above the staffs.
  6. WRITE a Roman numeral analysis below the staff including brackets to show expanded harmonies.
